Question 1

Which DC output voltages do ICT power systems support?

Accepted Answer

ICT builds DC power conversion products around the three nominal bus voltages used at communication and industrial sites: 12 VDC, 24 VDC and 48 VDC. Output voltage on most rectifier and power module families is adjustable so the bus can be matched to the battery chemistry and float requirements of the site.

Question 2

How does remote DC power monitoring over Ethernet work?

Accepted Answer

ICT Intelligent DC products include an embedded web server reached with any standard browser, plus SNMP for integration with existing network management platforms. Engineers can read output voltage, load current, temperature and alarm status, switch individual distribution circuits on or off, and receive fault notifications, all without dispatching a technician to the site.

Question 3

Can ICT DC power systems be configured for N+1 redundancy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Modular rectifier shelves accept multiple hot-swappable power modules that share load current. Adding one module beyond the calculated load requirement provides N+1 redundancy, and a failed module can be replaced while the system remains energized.

Question 4

What is the difference between single bus and dual bus DC power distribution?

Accepted Answer

A single bus distribution panel feeds all protected circuits from one DC input, which keeps wiring simple for a single source or battery string. A dual bus panel provides two electrically separate buses in one chassis so A and B feeds, or two independent voltage rails, can be distributed and monitored separately for higher availability.

Question 5

Where are ICT products designed and manufactured?

Accepted Answer

Engineering, manufacturing and technical support are performed at ICT's North American headquarters in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Domestic design and production shorten lead times, keep firmware and hardware revisions traceable, and give customers direct access to the engineers who built the product.

Question 6

How do I buy ICT DC power products outside North America?

Accepted Answer

ICT supplies its DC power systems through a global network of authorized distributors and system integrators. Use the Find a Distributor page to locate a partner in your region, or contact the ICT sales team for project-level application engineering support.
