Industry Solutions

Proven Applications Across Global Networks

ICT DC-DC converters deliver continuous, stable power conversion in mission-critical deployments around the globe.

Fixed Wireless & Telecom Towers

Step down 48V DC site power buses to 12V or 24V DC to energize auxiliary radios, microwave links, and monitoring equipment without adding separate battery strings.

Land Mobile Radio (LMR / P25)

Isolated DC-DC converters suppress power line noise and RF interference, ensuring clear voice transmission for public safety repeaters and dispatch baseline sites.

SCADA & Industrial Automation

Provide clean, regulated DC voltage rails for remote telemetry units (RTUs), PLCs, and valve controllers operating in harsh utility sub-stations and pipeline shelters.

Technical FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About DC-DC Converters

Expert guidance from the ICT power engineering team to help you specify the right converter for your site.

Isolated DC-DC converters provide complete electrical (galvanic) isolation between the input input circuit and output load. This prevents ground loop currents, isolates electrical noise, and allows the load to be grounded independently from the input power source. Non-isolated converters share a common negative ground terminal between input and output, making them a compact and economical choice for standard negative-ground industrial systems.
To select the correct converter rating, determine the continuous operational current (in Amps) required by your connected load and multiply by the output voltage (Volts x Amps = Watts). For transmitter or motor loads with high peak surge currents, we recommend sizing the converter with a 20% to 30% safety margin above peak consumption.
Yes. Because the input and output terminals of ICT Isolated Series 2 converters are completely floating and galvanically isolated, either the positive or negative output terminal can be connected to ground, making them fully compatible with positive-ground telecom environments.
All ICT DC-DC power converters are designed, manufactured, and rigorously tested at our North American headquarters in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. Our ISO-certified facilities ensure total quality control, full product traceability, and direct access to factory application engineers.
